Deer stalking
We offer red deer stalking on a members-only basis.

Membership does not allow unrestricted access to stalking. All stalking outings will be booked in advance and will be subject to availability.

At first and over a period of time you will be guided while stalking so that you can learn the shoot boundaries. Stalking on your own will only be permitted if we are happy that you know the boundaries and are safe and competent. If stalking on your own, we want to ensure that that there will always be someone on-site to quickly assist in carcass retrieval, or in the event that you need any other assistance.

For carcass extraction, we have a quad with a winch and a trailer with an electric winch. We have a hut fitted with a wall mounted electric winch and a stainless steel table for butchering carcasses. There is a generator to power the hut and gas to boil water, so cleaning up after butchering is straightforward. Guidance on butchery techniques can be given if desired.

Stalkers of all levels of experience welcome. Estate rifles and mentoring/stalking lessons are available for the novice stalker, but unfortunately we have to limit the number of novice memberships due to time constraints. Please get in touch for more information.

The shoot covers a variety of unique ground over several hundred acres - including woodland, pasture, scrub grass, gorse, quarry workings and bracken banks.

The steep terrain and thick cover can make for some challenging stalking conditions but we can also provide some easier stalking areas and stalking can be done from several hides/high seat positions which can be accessed via a short walk from vehicles.

As a member you are able to buy the whole carcass for £150. For stags this does not include the head. If you wish to buy the head it will be charged at £10 per point up to 10 points, and over 10 points it will be £20 per point.
​
A full years membership (£1200) begins in February and typically equates to 2 stalks per month on average, subject to availability.
​
Reduced half memberships are also available (£600), beginning in August and running until February of the following year. Again, this equates to approximately 2 stalks per month subject to availability.
